Kano Market Leaders Praise Samuel Adeyemi Olumode Over Prompt Action During Singer Market Fire Outbreak

The Singer Market Development Association, Kano, has formally commended the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Samuel Adeyemi Olumode, for the swift and professional response of his men to the recent fire outbreak that affected parts of Singer Market and Mazaf House on Bello Road.
The commendation was conveyed in a letter of gratitude issued by the association and signed by its Executive Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Muhammed Zakari.
In the letter, the association expressed deep appreciation to the Federal Fire Service under the leadership of Controller General Samuel Adeyemi Olumode for its prompt intervention during the emergency.
The association stated that the fire outbreak affected several business premises, including Gidan Glass, Gidan Gashash, Gidan Audu Yahya Dambatta, Gidan Dahir, and Gidan Battery. It noted that despite the scale of the incident, firefighters responded quickly and worked tirelessly to contain the flames before they could spread further.
The letter highlighted the rapid deployment of firefighting teams and equipment, describing it as a demonstration of high-level preparedness and operational excellence. The association also applauded the Controller General for his personal presence during the incident, noting that his leadership provided reassurance to affected traders.
It commended the professionalism, bravery, and technical competence displayed by the operatives, stating that their efforts significantly minimised the destruction of goods and safeguarded many livelihoods.
The intervention at Mazaf House was equally praised, with the association acknowledging the effective containment strategies that prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining buildings and causing greater damage.
The association further emphasised that the impressive performance of the Service reflects the quality leadership of Controller General Olumode, noting that his strategic direction has strengthened efficiency, improved capacity delivery, and restored confidence in the Federal Fire Service.
The letter, personally signed by Alhaji Muhammadu Muhammed Zakari, reaffirmed the association’s appreciation and pledged continued support for the Federal Fire Service in its mission to protect lives and property.
