Federal Fire Service Gombe Command Boosts Operational Capacity with Specialized Inspection and Post-Fire Assessment Training


The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, has reinforced its operational capacity through targeted training focused on inspection and post-fire assessment procedures.
As part of its ongoing weekly lecture series, the Command dedicated this week’s session to Inspection and Post-Fire Assessment—an essential aspect of fire prevention, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation.
The lecture was delivered by CSF Daniel Dan Garfiya, who provided a detailed and practical presentation on critical components of fire safety inspections. The training addressed building plan evaluation, post-construction inspections, post-fire assessment procedures, and fire incident investigation processes.
Participants were taken through established regulatory and procedural frameworks guiding risk identification, compliance monitoring, and post-incident evaluation in accordance with approved fire safety standards and operational guidelines.
The initiative reflects the Command’s commitment to continuous professional development, improved operational effectiveness, and enhanced fire prevention and response services across Gombe State. It also aligns with the strategic vision of the Controller-General of Fire, Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, which emphasizes professionalism, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.
The Gombe State Command remains steadfast in prioritizing regular training and retraining of personnel as a proactive measure to safeguard lives and property.
