CGF Congratulates Federal Fire Service Team on Tug of War Gold at BIPOGA 2026


The Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, has congratulated the Service’s team for their impressive performance at the 15th Biennial Police Games, BIPOGA 2026, held from 14 to 21 February 2026.
The Federal Fire Service men’s team won gold in the inter agency tug of war final after defeating the Nigeria Intelligence Agency. The final took place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.
The keenly contested event formed part of the biennial games hosted by the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, who was represented by his deputy, Monday Onyeme. Also present was the President of the Police Officers Wives Association, Mrs Dr Egbetokun, along with heads of various security agencies.
In the track events, the Federal Fire Service women’s team won a silver medal, while the men’s team secured bronze in the 400 metres race, further demonstrating the Service’s competitive strength.
Controller General Adeyemi also commended the Nigeria Police Force for successfully organising the games and for providing a platform that strengthened unity and cooperation among security agencies. He praised the Federal Fire Service team for their discipline, dedication, and outstanding representation throughout the competition.
BIPOGA 2026 once again promoted collaboration, professionalism, and sportsmanship among Nigeria’s security and paramilitary agencies.
