NSCDC Delta, Immigration Deepen Partnership as Commandant Igbo Hosts New Comptroller


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to inter-agency collaboration following a courtesy visit by the new Delta State Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
The Delta State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, received Comptroller GC Ozodinobi, psc, and her management team at the State Command Headquarters.
Speaking during the visit, Comptroller Ozodinobi expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded her by the Commandant. She described the meeting as a formal introduction, noting that she had previously interacted with Commandant Igbo on other official platforms. She pledged to strengthen the existing relationship between the two agencies and called for sustained synergy in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.
In his response, Commandant Igbo officially welcomed the new Comptroller to Delta State and commended the long-standing collaboration between the NSCDC and the NIS. He encouraged Immigration officers to continue working closely with NSCDC personnel, particularly in the area of intelligence sharing, to enhance security across the state.
The Commandant further assured the Comptroller of the Corps’ unwavering support, especially in tackling human trafficking and other related trans-border crimes. He reiterated his commitment to fostering stronger cooperation between both agencies in the collective interest of peace and security in Delta State.
