Security Chiefs Visit Agamo Over Monarch’s Killing, Vow Justice


Security heads in Ondo State have reaffirmed their commitment to crime prevention and the protection of lives and property across the state through sustained patrols, intelligence-led operations, and strategic deployment of personnel to vulnerable areas.
On February 19, 2026, a high-powered delegation of security chiefs visited Agamo town following the tragic killing of Oba Kehinde Jacob Faledo, who was attacked and murdered on February 18, 2026.
During a joint press briefing, the Commissioner of Police, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Brigade Commander, and the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), who spoke on behalf of other security heads, expressed their condolences to the royal family and the entire Agamo community over the unfortunate incident.
The security chiefs assured residents of a swift and decisive response, pledging that no effort would be spared in identifying, apprehending, and prosecuting those responsible for the heinous act.
They further ordered the immediate deployment of additional security personnel and operational assets to the community with a clear mandate to track down the suspects. Residents were also urged to provide credible and actionable information to support ongoing investigations.
