The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sokoto State Command, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful as the holy month of Ramadan begins, urging prayers for peace, unity and national development.
In a message released on Wednesday, the State Commandant, CC E.A. Ajayi, congratulated Muslims in Sokoto State and across the country on the commencement of the sacred month. He described Ramadan as a period of compassion, reflection and renewed commitment to service and humanity.
The Commandant also conveyed special goodwill to the Commandant General of the Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, as well as the Zonal Commander, Zone 10, ACG Bello Alkali Argungu, for their leadership and support to the Sokoto State Command. He further appreciated members of the management staff for their dedication to duty.
Ajayi, speaking on behalf of the management and personnel of the Command, prayed for good health, prosperity and spiritual fulfillment for all Muslims observing the fast. He noted that Ramadan offers an opportunity to strengthen faith, promote discipline and reinforce the values of sacrifice and tolerance.
He expressed hope that the holy month would usher in peace and tranquillity for Nigeria and the Muslim faithful worldwide, praying that Allah grants mercy, favour and guidance throughout the period.
