The Brigade Commander of 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmad Dikko, on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Abia State Command, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, at the Command Headquarters in Umuahia.
The visit was aimed at reinforcing collaboration and deepening operational coordination between the Nigerian Army and the NSCDC in their joint responsibility to maintain peace and security across Abia State.
During the engagement, Brigadier General Dikko underscored the critical role of inter agency cooperation in addressing emerging security challenges. He noted that effective security management depends on shared intelligence, coordinated operations, and sustained mutual support among security agencies.
In his remarks, Commandant Aderemi expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Nigerian Army. He emphasized that continued cooperation between both agencies would enhance proactive responses to threats and contribute to a safer environment for residents of Abia State.
