Federal Fire Service Training School Ilesa Launches Lecture Series Emphasizing Discipline


The Federal Fire Service Training School in Ilesa, Osun State, has commenced its Monday lecture series, focusing on the crucial theme of discipline for officers and men of the service. The initiative aims to strengthen professional conduct and reinforce core values among personnel.
The opening lecture was delivered by Deputy Superintendent of Fire (DSF) Adefioye, who addressed the importance of discipline in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the service. He emphasized that adherence to rules and regulations is central to operational success.
DSF Adefioye highlighted the distinction between minor misconduct and serious misconduct, explaining that both carry consequences that can affect individual careers and the reputation of the service.

He urged personnel to be vigilant and accountable in all their duties.
Expanding further, the speaker cautioned against involvement in illegal schemes or unethical practices, noting that such actions undermine fairness, morale, and organizational integrity.

He stressed that each member has a role in upholding the law and setting a positive example.
The lecture also included practical illustrations of how discipline impacts daily operations and emergency response efficiency. Officers were encouraged to internalize these lessons and apply them consistently in their professional conduct.
