The State Controller of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Niger State Command, ACF Alkali Mohammed Danjuma, on Wednesday attended the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Parade held at the Parade Ground in Minna, Niger State.
The solemn ceremony, organised by the Niger State Government, was dedicated to honouring fallen heroes of the Nigerian Armed Forces in recognition of their bravery, patriotism, and continued sacrifices in the defence of the nation’s unity and sovereignty.
The event was graced by the presence of the Executive Governor of Niger State, Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, alongside Royal Fathers, top government functionaries, heads of military and paramilitary formations, veterans, and family members of fallen heroes.
Highlights of the parade included the traditional wreath-laying ceremony, special prayers for the repose of the souls of departed servicemen and women, and a renewed call for unity and collective responsibility in safeguarding peace and security across the state and the nation at large.
ACF Alkali Mohammed Danjuma’s participation underscored the Federal Fire Service’s unwavering support for national security institutions and its solidarity with the Armed Forces in the shared mission of protecting lives, property, and critical national assets.
The event concluded with a ceremonial march-past and group photographs, marking a moment of reflection, honour, and recommitment to the ideals for which Nigeria’s heroes paid the ultimate price. Pictures from the event are attached.
