Rep. Jeremiah Umaru on Sunday joined the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, at the 2026 Armed Forces Thanksgiving and Remembrance Church Service held in Abuja, marking a solemn occasion dedicated to honouring the nation’s military personnel.
The church service took place at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, and brought together serving officers, veterans, and families of fallen heroes in an atmosphere of gratitude, reflection, and national unity.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu, senior government officials, military chiefs, and other distinguished personalities from across the country.
The annual Armed Forces Thanksgiving and Remembrance Service serves as a platform to appreciate the sacrifices of members of the Nigerian Armed Forces and to pray for peace, strength, and continued success in the defence of the nation.
