Nigerians have been called upon to actively support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his determined campaign to curb insecurity, as broad-based public cooperation remains essential to achieving lasting peace nationwide. This call was made by the Chief Operating Officer and Editor-in-Chief of People’s Security Monitor, Isiaka Mustapha, at the 2025 Annual People’s Security Monitor Security Summit and Recognition Awards held at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja.
Mustapha stated that overcoming Nigeria’s security challenges demands unity between government and citizens, noting that the President’s security reforms reflect a clear resolve to confront threats head-on.

He emphasised that meaningful progress can only be achieved when Nigerians align with the administration’s efforts and provide the necessary support for security initiatives to succeed.
He explained that the annual summit was designed as a strategic forum rather than a routine ceremony, offering stakeholders an opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and develop innovative solutions to the nation’s security concerns. According to him, the gathering serves as a bridge between policy, practice and public engagement in the security sector.
Commending participants, Mustapha said their attendance demonstrated commitment to national stability at a period when security threats are increasingly complex. He added that the summit rekindles hope for citizens who look to professionals and leaders for credible answers to persistent security problems.
The People’s Security Monitor boss also acknowledged the contributions of expert speakers whose perspectives, he said, would help shape effective policies and strengthen community safety frameworks. He described their participation as invaluable to the quest for a more secure and resilient Nigeria.

Mustapha said lasting peace would only be achieved through collective responsibility, cooperation among stakeholders and unwavering patriotism by all Nigerians.
