The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Gombe State Command, has intensified its fire safety awareness campaign across worship centres in the state, reinforcing ongoing efforts to prevent fire incidents and protect lives and property.
As part of this initiative, the Command recently visited Heritage Baptist Church, Tunfure, where congregants received guidance on fire prevention techniques, proper use and maintenance of fire extinguishers, and essential steps to take during fire emergencies.
During the sensitization session, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASF MB Muazu, underscored the importance of installing functional fire extinguishers in homes, business establishments, and places of worship. He reiterated the Command’s dedication to working closely with religious bodies to promote a sustained culture of safety and emergency preparedness.
The programme—organized by the Church’s Youth Fellowship—featured interactive discussions on fire hazards, preventive measures, and emergency response procedures.
The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, urges all worship centres in the state to prioritize fire safety and partner with the Command for continuous training and public enlightenment initiatives.
