Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), formally assumed duty today, 5 December 2025, at the Ministry of Defence headquarters, Ship House, Abuja. His arrival marked the beginning of a new phase of leadership within the ministry.
Upon his resumption, General Musa was received by senior officials and departmental heads, who briefed him on ongoing operations, administrative priorities, and the ministry’s strategic objectives. The Minister expressed readiness to strengthen coordination across all defence agencies and advance ongoing reforms.
General Musa emphasized his commitment to enhancing national security, improving troop welfare, and consolidating inter-agency collaboration. He assured staff of his dedication to a results-driven administration aimed at promoting stability and safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
