Federal Fire Service Presents Award to #NFSW Facebook Winner at Safety Week Closing Ceremony


The Federal Fire Service on Friday honored the Facebook winner of its National Fire Safety Week social media challenge at the closing ceremony held at the Service Headquarters. Mr. Reuben Taiwo, who emerged as the top participant in the #NFSW hashtag contest, received his prize in recognition of his engagement and support for fire safety awareness.

Speaking at the event, officials emphasized the importance of maintaining close ties with the public, noting that the Service remains committed to strengthening community engagement. They highlighted that initiatives like the hashtag challenge help deepen this connection and promote a culture of safety across the country.

The Service reiterated that its role extends beyond emergency response, stressing that fire safety is a shared responsibility between citizens and the agency. According to them, meaningful collaboration is essential to preventing fire incidents and safeguarding lives and property.

As the ceremony concluded, officials announced that the winner of the X (formerly Twitter) category of the #NFSW challenge would be revealed soon, adding that the Service looks forward to rewarding continued public participation.
