Federal Fire Service Gombe Command Quickly Contain Residential Fire, Saves Property Worth Millions at Wuro Shiye Quarters

The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, has successfully contained a residential fire outbreak at Wuro Shiye Quarters, thanks to the prompt response of officers and men from the ATM Fire Operations Base. Their swift action prevented what could have been a major disaster in the community.

The fire incident, which occurred on 13 November 2025 at about 10:00 hours, triggered the immediate deployment of firefighting personnel and equipment to the scene. The team arrived promptly and commenced full firefighting operations without delay.

Through coordinated efforts, professional handling, and timely intervention, the fire was brought under control before it could spread to nearby structures. The quick response of the firemen ensured that property worth millions of naira was saved from destruction.

Residents of the area commended the Federal Fire Service for their efficiency and dedication, noting that their rapid action averted greater damage. Eyewitnesses described the response as both timely and highly organised.

The Gombe State Command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state, assuring residents of continued readiness to respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.

As the harmattan season approaches, the Federal Fire Service once again appeals to the public to adopt strict fire safety measures, remain vigilant, and report fire outbreaks immediately to minimise losses and prevent avoidable tragedies.
