NSCDC Special Mining Marshals Commander, John Onoja Attah, Receives Nomination for 2025 People’s Security Monitor Recognition Award

The Assistant Commandant of Corps, NSCDC Special Mining Marshals, ACC John Onoja Attah, has received the invitation and nomination letter for the 2025 Annual People’s Security Monitor Security Summit and Recognition Award. The presentation was made by Isiaka Mustapha, Chief Operating Officer and Editor-in-Chief of the People’s Security Monitor, at the NSCDC headquarters in Abuja. The recognition comes in appreciation of Attah’s outstanding leadership and contributions to the Corps’ specialized mining operations.

During the presentation, Isiaka Mustapha highlighted the glowing attributes of ACC John Onoja Attah, praising his unwavering commitment, operational excellence, and innovative approaches in leading the Special Mining Marshals. He emphasized that Attah’s leadership has not only strengthened operational efficiency but also elevated the reputation of the NSCDC in protecting Nigeria’s vital mineral and mining assets.

Isiaka Mustapha also took the opportunity to thank Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commandant General of the NSCDC, for recognizing Attah’s competence and entrusting him with his current responsibilities. “It is the visionary leadership of Professor Audi that has enabled officers like ACC Attah to thrive and excel in their duties,” Mustapha said, commending the Commandant General for fostering a supportive and enabling environment.

Speaking further, Mustapha lauded Attah as a model ambassador of the NSCDC, noting that his professionalism and dedication have consistently reflected positively on the Corps. He added that Attah has never disappointed the leadership and has become a source of pride for both his colleagues and the organization as a whole.

In response, ACC John Onoja Attah expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the People’s Security Monitor summit for the nomination and recognition. He said the honour should be credited to the leadership of Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, whose guidance, mentorship, and support have created the platform for the Special Mining Marshals to achieve their successes.

Attah also reaffirmed his commitment to the mission of the NSCDC, emphasizing that the Special Mining Marshals will continue to work diligently to safeguard Nigeria’s mining and mineral resources.

The 2025 Annual People’s Security Monitor Security Summit and Recognition Award will hold at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, bringing together distinguished leaders, security practitioners, and stakeholders from across the nation to celebrate excellence, innovation, and dedication in the security sector. ACC John Onoja Attah’s participation and recognition underscore the critical role of specialized units in national security and operational effectiveness, highlighting the importance of leadership, discipline, and professionalism in safeguarding Nigeria’s strategic resources.
