The Kogi State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Aletan Olumide E., has officially presented his letter of credence to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, at the historic Lugard House, Lokoja.

Governor Ododo expressed his delight and appreciation to the NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for deploying Commandant Aletan to Kogi State. He reaffirmed the State Government’s unwavering commitment and support for the Corps, especially in its efforts to combat crime and other forms of criminal activity across the State.

During the interaction, the Governor highlighted Kogi State’s strategic geographical position—sharing borders with nine states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. He stressed the importance of a coordinated and intelligence-driven approach to crime prevention, emphasizing unity among security agencies to ensure that criminals find no safe haven within the State.

In his response, Commandant Aletan Olumide expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for the warm reception and assured him of the NSCDC’s resolute commitment to protecting lives, property, critical national assets, and infrastructure in Kogi State. He reaffirmed the Corps’ readiness to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, including sister security agencies, to sustain peace and enhance public safety across the State.

He concluded by calling for collective determination, unity, and shared responsibility in building a safer and more secure Kogi State.
