JIGAWA GOVERNOR UMAR NAMADI RECEIVES NOMINATION LETTER FOR PEOPLE’S SECURITY MONITOR GRAND AWARD, TO ADDRESS SUMMIT AS CHIEF GUEST SPEAKER

The Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, has received an official invitation from the organizers of the 2025 People’s Security Monitor Annual Security Summit & Recognition Award, where he is also nominated for the prestigious People’s Security Monitor Grand Award and scheduled to serve as the Chief Guest Speaker. The letter of invitation was formally presented by Isiaka Mustapha, Chief Operating Officer and Editor-in-Chief of People’s Security Monitor, and was received on behalf of the Governor by Dr. Usman Muhammed Jahun, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, at the Government House in Dutse.

In his remarks, Isiaka Mustapha stated that the event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, at the Nigerian National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja. He explained that the Governor’s nomination and invitation as Chief Guest Speaker were in recognition of his outstanding contributions to peace, security, and community development in Jigawa State. Mustapha commended Governor Namadi for his inclusive leadership style and proactive engagement with security agencies, which have helped foster stability and harmony across the state.

Responding on behalf of the Governor, Dr. Usman Jahun appreciated the organizers for acknowledging Governor Namadi’s dedication to security reforms and good governance. He assured them of the Governor’s readiness to attend the summit and deliver his keynote address. The annual event will bring together security chiefs, policymakers, traditional rulers, and civil society leaders from across the country to discuss innovative strategies for promoting peace, public safety, and sustainable national development.
