Army committed to training of personnel — COAS

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has reinstated his commitment to the training and retraining of personnel of the Nigerian Army (NA) in line with approved training directives.

Lagbaja stated this on Thursday at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Mid-Year Courses Appraisal and Curriculum Harmonization Workshop held by the Headquarters, Training and Doctrine Command, NA (HQ TRADOC NA) in Minna, Niger State capital.

He charged the participants to remain resolute in their pursuit of excellence towards achieving combat readiness of troops through training.

While reiterating the need to upscale military training to meet global standards, he emphasised that the security challenges confronting the nation must be defeated.

He challenged participants to remain focused and committed to achieving the desired training goal for optimal performance of the NA.

The closing ceremony of the workshop was followed by a cocktail party in honour of the participants held at the TRADOC Nigerian Army Officers’ Mess, Minna Military Cantonment.
