New NSCDC Commandant, Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa, Presents Letter of Assumption of Duty to Jigawa State Governor

The newly appointed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, Commandant Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa, has formally presented his Letter of Assumption of Duty to the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi (FCA), at the Government House, Dutse.

During the courtesy visit, Commandant Ingawa expressed his profound gratitude to the Governor for the unwavering support the State Government has continued to extend to the Corps. He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the existing cordial relationship between the NSCDC and the State Government, particularly in the areas of security, protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, disaster management, and community engagement.

Commandant Ingawa assured the Governor that under his leadership, the Corps would intensify efforts to curb crimes such as vandalism of public utilities, illegal mining, cattle rustling, and other activities that threaten peace and development in the State. He further emphasized his administration’s resolve to uphold discipline, professionalism, and dedication in enhancing the security architecture of Jigawa State.

In his remarks, Governor Umar Namadi welcomed and congratulated the new Commandant on his appointment. The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to continued collaboration with security agencies in sustaining the prevailing peace across the State. He commended the NSCDC for its proactive role in promoting community-based security and assured the Command of the State Government’s continued support in carrying out its constitutional responsibilities effectively.

The presentation of the Letter of Assumption of Duty officially marks the beginning of Commandant Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa’s tenure as the 11th substantive State Commandant of the NSCDC, Jigawa State Command.
