FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE SYMPATHIZES WITH GOMBE STATE UNIVERSITY OVER FEMALE HOSTEL FIRE, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO CAMPUS SAFETY

The State Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, DCF Suleiman Mohammed Suleiman, has paid a condolence and solidarity visit to the Vice Chancellor of Gombe State University following the recent fire outbreak at the university’s female hostel annex.

During the visit, DCF Suleiman expressed heartfelt sympathy to the university community over the unfortunate incident. He commended the swift response of the university’s fire unit and staff, whose timely intervention helped to contain the fire and prevent further loss.

He also presented the official fire incident report to the Vice Chancellor and offered professional recommendations on preventive and safety measures to avert similar occurrences in the future.

DCF Suleiman reaffirmed the Command’s readiness to strengthen collaboration with the university in areas such as fire safety training, awareness campaigns, and periodic risk assessments.

The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting lives and property through proactive fire prevention and efficient emergency response across the state.
