Lagos NSCDC Commandant Reaffirms Commitment to Stronger Protection of Critical Assets and Infrastructure

In a renewed effort to strengthen the security architecture of Lagos State, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Keshinro Adedotun, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to enhanced protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).

Commandant Adedotun made this assurance while attending the Passing Out Parade (POP) of newly trained and retrained armed personnel of COCATRAP, FOUHART, and Agro Rangers at the College of Security Management, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Addressing the graduating officers, the Commandant emphasized the vital role of continuous training and retraining, especially in the handling and responsible use of firearms. He noted that such training equips personnel to effectively safeguard the nation’s economic infrastructure and deter acts of vandalism, destruction, and theft by criminal elements.

The ceremony featured captivating displays, including a march-past, arms stripping and assembly demonstrations, VIP protection simulations, and award presentations to outstanding graduands.

The event was attended by several distinguished officers and guests, including the Provost of the College, Assistant Commandant General (ACG) Akintelure Niyi; the Zonal Commander, Zone 1, ACG Michael Akiboh, fsi (represented by Commandant of Corps Akeem Adeyinka); the Ogun State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Ekundayo Remilekun; and the Deputy Provost of the College, Commandant of Corps Shakirat Adeyinka, alongside other senior officers, family members, and friends of the graduands.
