The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, on Thursday, received in his office the Managing Director of the Kano Urban Planning and Development Agency (KNUPDA), Arc. Hauwa Hassan T/Wada.
The visit provided an opportunity for both agencies to discuss areas of collaboration aimed at promoting effective urban management and enhanced security within the state.
At the end of the meeting, the two leaders agreed to foster a mutually beneficial partnership that would support sustainable development and ensure a safer, well-planned urban environment for the people of Kano State.
Commandant Bodinga reaffirmed the commitment of NSCDC to complement the efforts of KNUPDA in safeguarding public infrastructure and ensuring compliance with government regulations guiding urban development. He emphasized that proper planning and security go hand in hand in building peaceful and functional communities.
In her remarks, Arc. Hauwa Hassan commended the proactive leadership of Commandant Bodinga and acknowledged the crucial role of the NSCDC in maintaining law and order. She expressed optimism that the collaboration would yield positive results, especially in tackling illegal constructions, encroachments, and other urban-related security concerns in the state.
