The Lagos State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Keshinro Adedotun, on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, led a team of senior officers on a condolence visit to the family of the late Edo State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Agun Gbenga. The visit took place at the deceased officer’s residence in Meran, Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.
While consoling the wife and children of the late officer, Commandant Adedotun explained that the visit was carried out on the directive of the Commandant General of the Corps, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who expressed deep sympathy over the loss of one of the Corps’ dedicated and exemplary officers.
He further disclosed that a high-powered delegation from the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja would also visit the bereaved family in the coming days to deliver the condolences of the Corps’ leadership officially.
Responding on behalf of the family, a representative of the late Commandant expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Lagos State Command and the Commandant General for their show of love, solidarity, and support during this difficult period.
The visit concluded with the signing of the condolence register by Commandant Keshinro Adedotun, who prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed officer and strength for his family to bear the irreparable loss.
