NSCDC Abia Officer Shines, Wins Silver at 1st Abia Para Badminton International 2025

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, has once again proven its commitment to excellence beyond the line of duty as one of its officers, Chief Corps Assistant (CCA) Chinyere Okoro of the Sports Unit, won a silver medal at the recently concluded 1st Abia Para Badminton International 2025, held in Umuahia, Abia State.

The championship, which ran from September 30 to October 5, 2025, brought together talented para-athletes from across the country, showcasing remarkable courage, discipline, and sportsmanship.

CCA Okoro’s impressive performance earned her a silver medal in her category, bringing pride and recognition to the Abia State Command and reaffirming the NSCDC’s commitment to promoting inclusivity, physical fitness, and excellence among its officers.

Following her achievement, CCA Okoro paid a courtesy visit to the State Commandant, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, and formally presented the medal to him. Commandant Aderemi congratulated her on the feat, describing it as a reflection of her dedication, perseverance, and the Corps’ encouragement of talent development among its personnel.
