CDOWA Abia Chapter Extends Kindness to Students of Special Education School for the Blind

The Abia State Command chapter of the Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA), on Monday, October 6, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Special Education School for the Blind in Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State.

The visit, led by the Chairperson of the Association, Princess Mrs. Alice Akinsola, who was ably represented by Mrs. Rita Nwaogu, was aimed at demonstrating love and solidarity with the students through the donation of food items and the delivery of encouraging messages to inspire hope and confidence.

In her remarks, Mrs. Nwaogu explained that the outreach was part of CDOWA’s continuous effort to promote compassion, inclusivity, and community support, particularly for vulnerable groups within society.

She emphasized that the association remains committed to supporting initiatives that uplift the less privileged and foster unity within communities.

The students and staff of the Special Education School for the Blind expressed profound gratitude to CDOWA for the thoughtful visit and generous donations, describing the gesture as timely, motivating, and deeply appreciated.
