Abia NSCDC Stages Peace Walk to Commemorate 2025 International Day of Peace

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, joined the global community in marking the 2025 International Day of Peace with activities designed to promote harmony and peaceful coexistence in society.

This year’s celebration carried the theme “Act Now for a Peaceful World.”

To commemorate the day, Commandant Aderemi led officers and men of the Command on a symbolic cross-town peace walk through the major streets of Umuahia metropolis, drawing public attention to the importance of unity, tolerance, and dialogue in building a stable and secure community.
