ABIA NSCDC ORGANISES PEACE WALK TO COMMEMORATE 2025 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, joined the rest of the world in marking the 2025 International Day of Peace with a series of activities geared towards promoting harmony and peaceful coexistence in society.

This year’s celebration was held under the theme “Act Now for a Peaceful World.”

As part of the event, the Command led a peace walk across major streets of Umuahia metropolis, drawing attention to the importance of peace, unity, and collective responsibility in building a safer and more secure environment.
