NDLEA Partners NSCDC Sokoto Command: CC EA Ajayi Reaffirms Commitment to Sustained Collaboration in the Fight Against Drug Abuse

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sokoto State Command, Commandant EA Ajayi, today received the Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Commander Mustapha Gidado, at the NSCDC State Headquarters at about 15:30 hours.

In his remarks, Commander Gidado expressed appreciation to the NSCDC for the warm reception accorded to him and commended the Corps for its unwavering synergy with the NDLEA in tackling the menace of drug abuse and its devastating impact on society. He stressed that the war against drugs cannot be won without strong inter-agency collaboration, particularly with the NSCDC.

Responding, Commandant EA Ajayi acknowledged the cordial relationship between the two agencies and reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining the partnership. He assured that the NSCDC will continue to play an active and significant role in combating the consumption and distribution of illicit drugs across Sokoto State through strengthened collaboration and effective cooperation with the NDLEA.
