Nigerian Air Force Strengthens Ties with NSCDC Zamfara Command to Enhance Interagency Collaboration

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Zamfara State Command, received a courtesy visit from the Commander of the Nigerian Air Force’s 207 Quick Response Group (QRG), Group Captain KO Akinyosade, on Thursday, 18th September 2025. The visit aimed to strengthen existing interagency cooperation and foster renewed synergy between the two security outfits in the state.

The delegation from the 207 QRG was warmly welcomed at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Gusau. The visit marked a significant step in revitalizing collaborative efforts, especially following the recent deployment of Group Captain Akinyosade to his new post in Zamfara.

In his remarks, the NAF Commander emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation and strategic partnerships among security agencies.

“I recognize the importance of visiting and familiarizing with fellow security agencies to establish and sustain a productive working relationship,” he said.
“Our goal is to strengthen the existing partnership and ensure continuous collaboration, intelligence sharing, and synergy.”

To commemorate the visit, Group Captain Akinyosade presented a symbolic plaque to the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant Sani Mustapha.

In response, Commandant Mustapha expressed appreciation for the gesture and reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to joint operations with sister agencies.

“Security challenges require united efforts. This collaboration is vital for the effective fight against insecurity in Zamfara State,” he noted.
“We will continue to partner and complement each other’s efforts in the collective pursuit of peace and stability.”

The visit concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the shared commitment of both agencies to work together towards enhancing security operations across the state.
