NSCDC Gombe Command Boosts Security Measures for Critical National Assets

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has intensified its operations to protect critical national assets and infrastructure across the state. This follows a strategic meeting convened by the State Commandant, Commandant Jibrin Idris, with Heads of Departments, Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and all Divisional Officers.

The meeting was aimed at revitalizing the Command’s operational strategies and enhancing its proactive security approach. It provided a platform to evaluate the current security framework, with particular emphasis on strengthening intelligence gathering, investigative capacity, and collaboration among stakeholders.

During his address, Commandant Jibrin Idris called on all officers to remain unwavering in their commitment to the Corps’ mandate of safeguarding critical infrastructure, whether public or private. He stressed the importance of discipline, professionalism, and the need for stronger community engagement as essential tools in modern security management.

He further directed Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to intensify around-the-clock surveillance of critical infrastructure, improve intelligence sharing, and work to prevent any acts of vandalism. They were also tasked with establishing and maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders and other security agencies within their Areas of Responsibility. Additionally, officers were instructed to organize stakeholder meetings focused on enhancing the protection of vital assets within their jurisdictions.

Commandant Idris reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in Gombe State. He appealed to members of the public to support the NSCDC by providing timely and credible information that could aid in crime prevention and the protection of national assets.
