The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) received a courtesy visit from the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) on Wednesday, 3rd September, 2025. The visit was aimed at reinforcing the existing partnership between the two sister agencies and enhancing their operational synergy within the state.
The engagement was led by the newly posted Controller of Corrections, Murtala M. Haruna, who was accompanied by members of his management team. The visit took place at the NSCDC State Headquarters in Gusau.
In his remarks, Controller Haruna stated:
“As the newly redeployed Controller to Zamfara State, I consider it essential to visit and build a cordial and productive relationship with the NSCDC. My primary aim is to strengthen the already existing collaboration between our agencies. I also appeal for the same level of cooperation and support that was extended to my predecessors.”
In response, Commandant Sani Mustapha, the State Commandant of NSCDC, emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among security agencies in achieving national security goals.
“The synergy between the NSCDC and NCoS has always been strong, and we are committed to making it even better. Collaboration is key if we are to effectively address the security challenges facing Zamfara State and the nation at large,” he
