NDA, Army 1 Division Strengthen Ties for Enhanced Security in North-West

The Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Major General Abdul Khalifa Ibrahim, has pledged stronger collaboration with the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Abubakar Sadiq Muhammed Wase, to boost ongoing military operations in the North-West.

He gave the assurance on Thursday during Wase’s familiarisation visit to the NDA headquarters in Afaka, Kaduna.

While congratulating the GOC on his appointment as the 44th commander of 1 Division by the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Ibrahim described the posting as a well-deserved recognition of his competence and service record.

In his remarks, Major General Wase expressed his readiness to support the NDA whenever required, noting that the synergy between both institutions is crucial to the Army’s operational successes.

The visit also featured a guided tour of the NDA Hall of Fame.
