COMMAND TRANSITION: CC EA AJAYI ASSUMES DUTIES AS NEW NSCDC SOKOTO STATE COMMANDANT

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sokoto State Command, held a formal transition ceremony on Wednesday, 27th August 2025, at approximately 15:20 hours. The event marked the official handing over of leadership responsibilities from the outgoing Commandant, Assistant Commandant General (ACG) UI Alfadarai, to the new substantive State Commandant, Commandant of Corps (CC) EA Ajayi.

During the ceremony, ACG UI Alfadarai expressed profound appreciation to the management team and personnel for their unwavering support throughout his tenure. He encouraged the incoming Commandant to sustain and build upon the progress and achievements recorded under his leadership.

As part of the handover process, ACG Alfadarai formally presented the handover notes to CC EA Ajayi, symbolizing a smooth and seamless leadership transition.

In his remarks, the new Commandant, CC EA Ajayi, commended the outgoing Commandant for his exemplary and pragmatic leadership, especially in confronting the security challenges within the State. He pledged to continue the legacy of professionalism, discipline, and proactive service delivery.

He further advised officers and men of the Command to uphold discipline, patriotism, and diligence, emphasizing the importance of adhering strictly to the regimental structure and values of the Corps.

CC Ajayi underscored the need for unity of purpose, mutual respect, and administrative cooperation, highlighting his inclusive leadership philosophy rooted in justice, equity, transparency, and collective progress.

He assured the management and personnel of his commitment to fostering a progressive and result-oriented environment that will elevate the Sokoto Command to greater heights.
