As part of his leadership commitment to develop the capacity of personnel for better performance, the State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Command Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, FCAI organized a 2-day training on Map reading and Digital Technology from Wednesday 13th to Thursday 14 August, 2025 at the conference Hall of NSCDC Headquarters Katsina.

The training was organized in collaboration with African Cyber Intelligence Solutions, a non governmental organization specialized in training and promoting cyber security awareness.Map reading, intelligence gathering using digital technology and mobile phone tracking analysis were among the major areas of the presentations during the training.Participants were drawn from Various departments, Units, Area Commands, Divisional Offices, Outposts and other relevant formations of the command.

In his opening remarks, Commandant Ahmad commended the CG Professor A.A Audi mni, OFR for inspiring new era of professionalism within the Corps.He further emphasized the commitment of his leadership to personnel development through capacity building.
“Training and retraining are parts of my reviewed strategies to develop the capacity of personnel for efficient and effective performance”the Commandant reiterated
In conclusion, Ahmad charged personnel to give the necessary attention and tasked the partners for professionalism.

The representative of the African Cyber Intelligence Solutions Mr. Yakubu Makama while delivering his inaugural address observed that with the trends of cyber security chellenges, Security personnel and other relevant institutions must collaborate to promote cyber security awareness to counter the evolving trends of cyber threats.

The Deputy Commandant Administration and personnel Nuhu Dalha noted that routine training will help the personnel for more results in their assigned roles and responsibilities.

Deputy Commandant Private Guard Companies, Aliyu Abdullahi who delivered the vote of thanks, thanked the CG for his commitment to professionalism.He further commended the Commandant and the Cyber Intelligence organization for making such program a reality.
