
In response to the order to deploy tactical operatives across the nation by the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commandant Oluyemi Ibiloye, the Ondo State Commandant has deployed 900 tactical operatives.
These operatives are drawn from Intelligence Department, Special Female Squad, Quick Response Team, Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), Operations Department, Agro Rangers, motorised patrol team, and Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives Unit
The operatives are to ensure protection of critical national assets and infrastructure and safety of lives and property by forestalling all acts of criminal tendencies planned by unscrupulous elements during and after the festive seasons.
The order from the Corps CG emphasized effective cooperation, collaboration and coordination amongst security agencies to defeat the unfriendly forces and overcome the scourge posed by asymmetric conflict in the country.
Speaking with journalists yesterday at the distribution of operational vehicles by the state government, Commandant Ibiloye assured of collaboration with sister agencies in Intelligence gathering and sharing because no security agency has the monopoly of tackling insecurity. He urged the citizens to volunteer credible intelligence.
