WHEAT RECOVERY: MANAGEMENT OF JIGAWA STATE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND ACTING MD JARDA PAY COURTESY VISIT TO JIGAWA STATE COMMANDANT
The Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) today, Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, received a high-level delegation from the Jigawa State Ministry of Agriculture pay a courtesy visit to the State Commandant, Bala Bawa Bodinga.

The visit centered on strengthening inter-agency collaboration in support of the ongoing efforts towards wheat recovery across the state.
The delegation commended the NSCDC for its professionalism, vigilance, and role in safeguarding government investments in the agricultural sector.
Speaking during the visit, the delegation emphasized the critical importance of recovering government-provided wheat inputs from defaulters and ensuring that the distribution process is not compromised.
He called on the NSCDC to continue playing its role in supporting the state government’s agricultural programs and ensuring accountability in the system.
In his remarks, the Acting Managing Director of JARDA reiterated the need for synergy between the Corps and agricultural authorities, especially in rural areas where input diversion is most common.
He acknowledged the NSCDC’s past efforts and pledged closer operational cooperation.
In his response, Bala Bawa Bodinga, the NSCDC Jigawa State Commandant, assured the delegation of the Corps’ commitment to transparency, justice, and the protection of government property.
He stated that the NSCDC remains fully aligned with the mission of the state government to improve food security and enhance productivity in the agricultural sector.
The Commandant further directed relevant departments within the Corps to immediately initiate joint action with the Ministry and JARDA to ensure the successful recovery of diverted wheat and prevent future occurrences.
The visit ended with a renewed commitment from both parties to work collaboratively in protecting government interventions and promoting sustainable agricultural development across Jigawa State.
