5 ILLEGAL MINERS ARRESTED AT ILU AGBO, ESE ODO

At about 0930hrs on Friday 30th May, 2025, a joint taskforce working in conjunction with the Federal Mines Office on illegal mining of solid minerals comprising NSCDC, DSS, Police, Amotekun and officials of the state government, arrested 5 illegal miners at Ilu Agbo in Ese Odo local government of Ondo state.

The suspects who are presently in custody undergoing profiling gave their names as David Ayara, David Monday, Bonima Boluwatife, Stanley Odoh and Wisdom Nomiye.

The suspects, after investigation would be charged under relevant laws to serve as a deterrent for other criminal elements engaging in illegal mining activities.
