YOUTH ASSEMBLY OF NIGERIA PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO NSCDC JIGAWA STATE COMMANDANT

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, on Thursday received a delegation from the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Jigawa State Chapter, who paid a courtesy visit to the State Commandant, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga at the State Command Headquarters in Dutse.

The visit, led by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Haruna Isa Zazika, was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Corps and the youth constituency in the state. He stated that the Assembly, being a non-partisan and youth-centered platform, is committed to promoting peace, unity, and community development through civic engagement and institutional collaboration.

Rt. Hon. Haruna Isa Zazika commended the NSCDC for its unwavering commitment to the protection of critical national assets, safeguarding of lives and property, and its pivotal role in promoting internal security across the state.

He added that the Youth Assembly of Nigeria is ready to partner with the NSCDC in its public sensitization campaigns, anti-vandalism drives, and youth empowerment initiatives.

In his response, the State Commandant, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, appreciated the Assembly for the visit and encouraged them to remain agents of peace, unity, and positive change.

He further emphasized the importance of engaging the youth in nation-building and called on the Assembly to continue advocating against drug abuse, thuggery, and other social vices affecting young people.

The Commandant assured the Assembly of the Command’s readiness to work closely with them, especially in the areas of intelligence sharing, security awareness, and community mobilization.

The visit was rounded off with the presentation of a commendation letter to the State Commandant by the delegation, followed by a group photograph to mark the occasion.
