Children’s Day: Children’s Rights Non-negotiable – Plateau NSCDC Commandant

Plateau State Head of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Ishaku Musa, has described children as the most precious assets who must be offered all the necessary support and protection needed for their well-being.

Speaking on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day, Commandant Musa warned all perpetrators of child abuse to desist from their cruel actions or be prepared to face punishment in accordance with the law.

“Children are our most precious assets, and we are certainly bequeathing leadership and the nation to them. This is why we must support and take good care of them, so that we can be assured of a sustainable and ideal future,” Commandant Musa said.

Musa, however, appealed to the general public to promptly report cases of child abuse or maltreatment to the relevant security agencies.
