In its bid to ensure proactiveness, the Plateau State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has reinvigorated its intelligence network ahead of the Sallah holiday celebration.
Speaking yesterday in Jos, the Plateau State capital, shortly after a security meeting, the Command’s helmsman, Commandant Ishaku Musa, stated that no chances would be given to any form of breach of law and order in the state before during after the festive season. He emphasized that any form of insecurity in the state would be met with severe resistance and without hesitation.
“We have indeed expanded our entire intelligence network and, in the same vein, reinvigorated all aspects of it ahead of the Sallah holiday. We are conscious of the fact that criminals also plan heinous activities in advance, and this is why we are strengthening security in Plateau State during this period. Let me emphasize that we are battle-ready to curtail any form of security breach in the state, no matter how minor it may be.
“Of course, the Corps is committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property of residents, just as it will ensure 24-hour surveillance on all Critical National Assets,” Commandant Musa assured.
However, Musa warned all NSCDC operatives to avoid overzealousness and unprofessional behavior while carrying out their duties.
