TROOPS OF 3 DIVISION/OPERATION SAFE HAVEN NEUTRALISE 2 BANDITS, RECOVER ARMS AND AMMUNITION IN PLATEAU STATE

Following a continued offensive against dangerous criminals domiciled in the Joint Operations Area, troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN on 12 May 2025 conducted an intelligence-based raid operation at suspected bandits’ hideout at Teng Mountain/Forest in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State. During the operation, troops made contact with the criminals and overwhelmed them with superior firepower. In the process, troops neutralised 2 bandits. Further exploitation of the hideout led to the recovery of the following items:

a. One AK-47 rifle.

b. One AK-47 magazine.

c. One fabricated rifle which fires 7.62 mm (Special) ammunition.

d. Seven rounds of 7.62 mm (Special) ammunition.

e. Four mobile phones.

f. Two motorcycles.

g. Cash sum of One Hundred and Fifty Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Naira (N157,000.00) only.

The recovered arms and ammunition are in custody, while recovered mobile phones are being examined to aid tracking and arrest of other members of the criminal syndicate.

Operation SAFE HAVEN assures the public, that the activities of these dangerous criminals will continually be met with stiff resistance from troops who are poised to sustain offensive operations against the miscreants in every means possible.
