DON’T IGNORE THE IMPORTANCE OF MEDIA OPERATIONS IN OVERALL SUCCESS OF MILITARY CAMPAIGN …..Commandant Charges Graduands 

The Acting Commandant Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and  Information (NASPRI), Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Ngulde has charge graduands of the Second Quarter Courses 2024 of the school not to ignore the importance of Media Operations in Military Campaign as they returned to their respective units. He said media operations play a crucial role in shaping the narrative, disseminating information, and engaging with the public. This he made known during the graduation ceremony held at the school auditorium in Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri, Abuja.

The Commandant noted that the media landscape is constantly evolving, and it is essential that Public Relations Officers and personnel stay ahead of time, leveraging new technologies and strategies to effectively communicate and engage with diverse audiences. He therefore urged them to remain resolute and utilize the knowledge and skills gained while on course to further develop their career as personnel and give positive narrations and content of the Armed Forces to the public.

Lt Col Ngulde used the medium to express sincere gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja for his knee interest and commitment to the schooI since he assumed Command which has repositioned NASPRI to contribute more to the professional training drive of the NA in achieving the COAS Command Philosophy.

He also thanked the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar for believing in the School capacity and sending their personnel to attend in school. Also, the Commander Training and Doctrine  Command, Maj Gen Kelvin Aligbe and the Chief of Training Army Maj Gen SG Muhammed were not left out in his appreciation.

Earlier, the Acting Chief Instructor of the school, Capt Tonye Wenke while reading the course appraisal described the total performance of the students as commendable as they exhibited high sense of discipline during the course. According to him, a total of 27 officers from different units and formations of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force, and 52 other ranks participated in the second quarter courses and successfully graduated.

Dignitaries that graced the ceremony include the Assistant Director Information, Directorate of Information Nigerian Navy, Capt (NN) AB Ayi, the Deputy Director Directorate of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force (DOPRI) Gp Capt K Ali, the Deputy Director Open Source Intelligence, Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, Lt Col EC Obishili among others. Highlights of the event include presentation of certificates and awards to students who excelled during the course and photographs.
