GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 3 DIVISION/COMMANDER OPERATION SAFE HAVEN CONDUCTS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO TAFAWA BALEWA

In an effort to ensure the safety of lives and property within Operation SAFE HAVEN Joint Operations Area (JOA), the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army as well as the Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (COPSH), Major General Folusho Oyinlola, conducted an operational visit to Forward Operating Base (FOB) Tafawa Balewa today Sunday 27 April 2025.

General Oyinlola on arrival at the FOB Headquarters was received by the FOB Commander, Lieutenant Colonel EP Isah and briefed on the security situation and operational activities in the general area.

In his remarks, General Oyinlola commended the FOB for its operational gains in the fight against crime and non-state actors, while also making significant progress in the use of non-kinetic approach in enhancing security within the JOA. He charged personnel to continually dominate the Area of Responsibility with offensive patrols in order to deny criminal elements freedom of action.

Furthermore, General Oyinlola assured the FOB of welfare and logistics support to boost its operational efficiency.

Highlights of the visit were the presentation of brief, signing of visitors’ book, presentation of souvenirs and group photograph.
