Kano Ministry of Justice Partners Civil Defence in fighting Crimes and Criminality

Kano state Attorney general and Commissioner of justice, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi has pledged continued partnership with the NSCDC in fighting Crimes in Kano State.

The state Attorney general made the promise when he received in his office, the state Commandant of the Corps, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini on familiarisation visit.

The commissioner further extolled the Corps for its immense and incredible contribution towards curbing crimes in the state. He also claimed that his office will do everything that’s necessary for the Corps operational success in the state. ” Civil Defence is always there for the good people of Kano, you’re always on ground and you do the needful. On this note, let me assure you that whatever you need and will enhance your services, just get across to us we’ll always support you”, Barrister Dederi assured.

Earlier in his remarks, the state Commandant, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini admitted he’s in the Justice ministry for a courtesy visit aimed at renewing and strengthening the already superb relationship. The state Commandant acknowledged the pivotal role of the justice ministry and by extension the judiciary in the fight against crimes and criminality. He then solicited the support and cooperation of the ministry in addressing some of the challenges bedeviling the Civil Defence as per prosecutorial powers of the Corps, which the attorney general promised to promptly address.
