Police Vow Action Against Officer Threatening Retaliation Over Uromi Killings

The Nigerian Police Force has promised to take action against an officer, Hadaina Hussaini Dan-Taki, who threatened reprisal attacks following the killing of 16 travelers from northern Nigeria in Uromi, Edo State.

Dan-Taki’s Facebook post vowed that northerners would retaliate against southerners living in the North, sparking widespread criticism. He later altered his Facebook profile and restricted public access to his posts.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, assured that the matter was noted and necessary steps would be taken.

Meanwhile, the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, emphasized the need for justice regarding the incident, urging Governor Okpebholo of Edo State to ensure those responsible face the law.
