The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad has visited the staff quarters NSCDC College for Peace and Disaster Management (CPCDM) Babbar Ruga Katsina razed by fire outbreak today Tuesday 25th March, 2024

The State Commandant was accompanied by a special team comprising of Crises Management, Disaster Management, Medical and Operations to ascertain the level of damage caused by the fire outbreak and collaborate with the Federal and State Fire service teams to bring to an end the fire incidence.

The Commandant who described the fire outbreak as mysterious pledged to collaborate with the College Commandant ACG Babangida Abdullahi Dutsanma to identify the best ways to handle the situation.

The fire outbreak stated on Monday 24th March, 2025 burning three rooms and continued on Tuesday 25th, March, 2025.

Earlier in his remarks, the College Commandant thanked the State Fire Service and the neighbouring communities for their contributions in tackling the fire outbreak.

ACG Babangida noted that the Commandant General Ahmed Dr. Abubakar Audi sympathized with the victims of the fire outbreak and his commitments address the situation.He further commended the State Commandant for the prompt response.

A committee of inquiry into the causes of the fire outbreak comprising personnel from Command and the College to identify the causes of the fire outbreak and make relevant recommendations was also established.
