FIRST RAMADAN PUBLIC LECTURE: LAGOS NSCDC CONDEMNS ACTS OF VANDALISM, RITUAL KILLINGS, KIDNAPPING, FRAUD, SABOTAGE, OTHER SOCIAL VICES

In the maiden Ramadan Public Lecture, organized, today, Tuesday, 11th March, 2025, at the Command’s Headquarters, by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, under the auspices of its Muslim Community, the State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has condemned, the unlawful, worrisome and barbaric ways by which the lives of fellow citizens are taken by some very unscrupulous elements of the society, through various criminal activities such as; ritual killings, kidnappings fraudulent practices, vandalism and other forms of economic sabotage and social vices.

The Lagos State Commandant seized, the Ramadan and the Lent period, to call on the good people of the state, to embrace the good virtues of the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible, which teach love, harmony, unity, patience, tolerance, piety, modesty, vigilance, sobriety and brotherliness amongst many others.

The Guest Lecturer, Dr Nurudeen Ibrahim, delivered, a master piece at the event on how all citizens should uphold and respect the sanctity of the human life. He further stated that the unlawful taking of human life remains abominable, barbaric inhumane and condemnable in any given society all over the world. He seized , the Ramadan lecture to appeal to all Nigerians to shun this barbaric acts now, visibly seen in various places across the country.

The NSCDC, Lagos State Command was highly commended, at the event, by the Honourable Member representing Agege II and Chairman of the event, Honourable Abdulkareem Jubril, for organizing the intellectual event narrowed, towards enlightening the general public against the barbaric, evil and treacherous acts of vandalism, kidnapping, ritual killings and other criminal acts in the society.

The event was graced, by the representative of the Iyaloja General of Nigeria ( Mother of the Day ), Chief ( Dr ) Mrs Folashade Tinubu – Ojo, the representative of the special guest, Honourable Oladeebo Olaide and Sheikh ( Dr ) Ahmad Olanrewaju Al – Fulani and many other distinguished guests.

Others who attended the event include representatives of Security Agencies such as; the Nigeria Police Force ( NPF ), the Nigeria Correctional Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC ) and members of the fourth estate of the realm, in a bid to assist the State Command in purveying the right message to the general public on how to increase the value for human life in our highly challenging society.
