The newly redeployed Assistant Commandant General of NSCDC Zone 4 Headquarters
Minna in charge of Niger and Kwara State Commands of NSCDC ACG Shehu Magaji Tunga was on Friday 7th February, 2025 at the Hiltop residence of the former Head of State General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida GCFR to pay homage to him on assumption of office. He was accompanied by a team of management staff and close aides.

While making his remarks, the Zonal Commander informed the former Head of State that he was in his residence as a mark of respect to his iconic personality and recognition of his legacies, national contributions and particularly his exceptional support to the CORPS.

The Zonal Commander further remarked that ” NSCDC has the mandate of protecting
Critical Assets and Infrastructure of the entire nation, this task is indeed enormous and we
need all the support for the Corp particularly as the Corps is witnessing unprecedented
transformation under the leadership of Dr Abubakar Audi PhD OFR mni, to this end, your
Excellency i am here today with my management team to tap from your wealth of experience, seek your continuous fatherly blessings, guidance and support to the Corps” the Zonal Commander prayed Allah to grant the Former Head of State more wisdom, sound health and long life to sustain all the good work and services for the nation.

In his response, the Former Head of State General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida GCFR,
expressed delight for the visit, assured the Zonal Commander of his blessings and
continuous support to the Corps ” indeed am glad you are here with your management team, your Corps is doing so much and I can I assure you that you are home away from home ACG Tunga, we will give you all the support you need to succeed in carrying out your assignment in Zone 4 Minna” the elder statesman offered series of professional advice, encouragement and prayed for the success of the Zonal Commander while carrying out his lawful duties
