STAND BY THE MANDATES OF THE CORPS, SERVE THE NATION WITH HONOR, DISCIPLINE AND PATRIOTISM, COMMANDANT PAUL O IGWEBUIKE CHARGES.

The Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kogi State Command Paul O Igwebuike has charged the personnel of the State Command which comprises of 36 officers and men and 116, 2023 trainees who took part in the Range Classification exercise to live up to the expectations of the Corps, by serving the nation with honor, discipline and patriotism.

He noted that it becomes expedient for Officers and men to acquaint themselves with the latest skills in weapon handling following the trends of attacks on Security Personnel, Security formations, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, banditry, thus the need for training and retraining of personnel on weapon handling.

Speaking further Commandant Paul O Igwebuike said the personnel had previously under gone rigorous and intensive training after satisfying the basic forensic requirements before embarking on the shooting range classification.
The State Commandant opined on the need for professionalism by the personnel and warned thoroughly against any act of misuse or conduct that negate the ethics of firearms, while reiterating that, the essence of these exercises is to bring about maximum and better productivity to meet up with the taste of time as the whole nation is putting more hope on NSCDC sequel to the policies and strategies put in place by the Commandant General Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR.

Further more , the State Commandant appreciated the Army Commander,12 Brigade Lokoja Kogi State, Brigadier General H I Dasuki for his unflinching role towards making the exercise a success, just as he also commended other sister agencies for their consistent synergy with the Command.

In his remark, the Head of Training Department, DCC Fasakin Adebayo Olukunle, said the Officers and men have been rigorously drilled in conformity to arms training both on G3 rifle and the AK-47 rifle respectively..
